Position Available: Project Director (IDSR – Integrated Disease Surveillance & Response)

About the Role:
The Project Director will be responsible for leading and implementing the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) program at a national level.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure through data-driven surveillance systems and effective response frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of the IDSR project in alignment with national public health goals.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure coordination with provincial, district, and federal health departments.
- Develop strategies for real-time disease monitoring, outbreak investigation, and response planning.
- Prepare project reports, financial updates, and progress summaries for relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Conduct capacity-building workshops and training for regional teams.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
- Minimum: Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or a related medical/scientific discipline from a recognized university
- Preference: Additional certifications or training in project management, health systems strengthening, or disease surveillance
Experience:
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in public health program management, preferably in disease surveillance or health information systems
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, coordination with health partners, and managing large-scale public health initiatives
Age Limit:
- Preferably between 45 to 60 years
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and health data platforms
- Familiarity with Pakistan’s health infrastructure and global health protocols
Terms & Conditions:
- The position is project-based and contractual.
- Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, as per government policy.
