Short-Term Consultancy Position under PPRA Rules 2014

The Punjab Employees’ Social Security Institution (PESSI) is seeking applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the role of Procurement Consultant (Electro-Medical Equipment). Position Overview

The selected consultant will work closely with PESSI’s management to guide and oversee the procurement process for electro-medical equipment. The objective is to ensure that the procurement is carried out transparently, efficiently, and in alignment with all applicable procurement regulations. The consultant will help maintain the highest standards of quality while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with PPRA guidelines.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Procurement Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting PESSI in the planning and execution of procurement activities related to electro-medical equipment.
  • Preparing procurement strategies that ensure best value for money and meet the organization’s operational needs.
  • Overseeing and finalizing the procurement process in line with prevailing public sector procurement rules.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable procurement laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
  • Providing guidance on the evaluation of bids, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Supporting the institution in achieving cost savings while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Documenting and reporting on procurement processes for audit and accountability purposes.

  • A strong background in procurement processes, preferably in the health or medical equipment sector.
  • Proven expertise in PPRA-compliant procurement.
  • Knowledge of electro-medical equipment specifications and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
