Position Overview
The Whole School Evaluation (WSE) Evaluator plays a central role in ensuring quality education by conducting comprehensive, participatory, and evidence-based evaluations across The Citizens Foundation’s (TCF) vast network of over 2,000 schools. This role demands a blend of analytical rigor, field engagement, and storytelling ability, as evaluators will interact directly with principals, teachers, students, and school communities.
Through classroom observations, interviews, surveys, document reviews, and assessments, the WSE Evaluator generates insights and recommendations that shape school improvement strategies. By upholding neutrality and fairness, evaluators act as change agents, promoting academic excellence and institutional growth in under-resourced settings.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed. strongly preferred) or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of classroom teaching experience.
- Prior exposure as a principal, teacher trainer, or academic manager (3–4 years desirable).
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to work with digital dashboards, enter field data, interpret visualizations, and prepare structured reports.

Key Responsibilities
1. Comprehensive Data Collection & Feedback
- Conduct school visits to gather multi-source evidence, including classroom observations, student performance records, and structured interviews with staff and students.
- Document findings systematically while ensuring fairness and accuracy.
- Provide real-time, compassionate feedback to school teams during and after evaluations, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
2. Pattern Recognition & Analysis
- Synthesize large sets of data from surveys, assessments, and observational reports.
- Detect trends, correlations, and recurring gaps in pedagogy, student learning, or operational practices.
- Prepare well-substantiated conclusions that can guide policy-making and institutional decisions.
3. Reporting & Communication
- Develop professional, high-quality evaluation reports that present findings in a concise, structured manner.
- Ensure that insights are translated into practical recommendations that are accessible and implementable for school leaders.
- Support the organization in maintaining transparency and credibility through objective documentation.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Development
- Engage with school leaders, teachers, and support staff to foster a culture of learning and improvement.
- Conduct debrief sessions to share evaluation outcomes and collaboratively identify solutions.
- Act as a bridge between data and action, ensuring that insights drive continuous progress.
5. Upholding Standards & Neutrality
- Safeguard the integrity of the evaluation process by adhering strictly to ethical standards.
- Remain impartial in assessments and interactions, maintaining the trust of school teams and communities.
