One of Pakistan’s most prominent power sector organizations, entrusted with the vital responsibility of transmitting electricity from generation sources to distribution companies nationwide, is seeking to strengthen its legal and regulatory functions. To support its expanding operations, the company is inviting applications from highly qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals for the position of Manager Corporate & Regulatory Affairs.
This role is critical for ensuring compliance with corporate laws, managing regulatory interactions, and guiding the organization in legal matters connected to power sector regulation, taxation, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal and regulatory support to the company’s leadership. Major duties will include:
- Offering legal advice on matters involving regulatory bodies, and guiding departments in their engagement with such authorities.
- Demonstrating strong command over corporate law and NEPRA regulations, ensuring that all company activities remain compliant with legal requirements.
- Coordinating and managing legal matters assigned to external law firms or counsel, ensuring efficiency and quality in handling corporate and regulatory cases.
- Supervising the Corporate & Regulatory Affairs section, ensuring all services, deliverables, and decisions are aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Leading and mentoring subordinate staff, evaluating their performance through periodic appraisals, and promoting their professional development.
- Monitoring departmental performance to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the Chief Law Officer are consistently achieved.
- Identifying and communicating the technology and resource requirements of the Corporate & Regulatory Affairs section to relevant stakeholders.
- Assisting in the development of standardized documents, templates, and legal frameworks to streamline operations.
- Supporting the Chief Law Officer in fulfilling organizational legal responsibilities and performing any other assigned tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
To be eligible, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification professional experience, including:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate and regulatory affairs, preferably in the power or energy sector.
Candidates must demonstrate proven expertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal advisory, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including regulators, tax authorities, and other government institutions.
