Key Responsibilities

The role requires an experienced professional who can manage complex corporate and regulatory matters. Major responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring that all departments of the organization are properly advised in their interactions with regulatory bodies.
  2. Demonstrating strong expertise in corporate law and NEPRA regulations to support compliance and regulatory functions.
  3. Coordinating, managing, and monitoring tasks assigned to external legal counsel, ensuring that their advice and services align with company needs.
  4. Reviewing and maintaining the quality of all outputs produced by the Corporate & Regulatory Affairs division, ensuring consistency with company policies and strategic goals.
  5. Leading and supervising subordinate officials, assigning tasks, evaluating their performance through periodic appraisals, and encouraging professional growth to achieve departmental KPIs set by the Chief Law Officer.
  6. Identifying and communicating technological and resource needs of the Corporate & Regulatory Affairs department to ensure smooth functioning.
  7. Supporting the development and improvement of standardized documentation, forms, and templates for regulatory compliance and corporate functions
  8. Performing any additional tasks assigned by the Chief Law Officer, in line with the department’s strategic requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of eight (08) years of post-qualification experience

Candidates must demonstrate a strong legal background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with complete confidentiality and professional integrity at all times.


Skills and Attributes

  • Deep knowledge of corporate law, NEPRA regulations, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and legal professionals.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities to ensure optimal performance of subordinates.
  • Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and critical analysis skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and discretion in all legal and corporate matters.
