Position Title:
Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) / Head of Internal Audit
Location: Islamabad (Head Office)
Key Responsibilities:
The selected individual will serve as the Chief Internal Auditor and will report directly to the Board Audit Committee. The CIA will be entrusted with overseeing the Internal Audit Department and ensuring its alignment with the internal control framework, legal standards, and regulatory requirements issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
- Developing, reviewing, and updating the Internal Audit Charter, in line with best practices and SBP directives.
- Designing and implementing a robust audit strategy that addresses risk-based audit planning and enhances internal control effectiveness.
- Leading internal audit reviews, assessments, and compliance audits across all departments of the organization.
- Recommending improvements in policies, procedures, and internal governance based on audit findings.
- Providing timely reports and audit opinions to the Board Audit Committee to facilitate sound corporate governance and transparency.
- Ensuring the audit function maintains independence, objectivity, and operates according to internationally recognized auditing standards.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- Academic and Professional Credentials:
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), or
- Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), or
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in the field of finance.
- Prior work in Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) or banks will be a strong advantage.
