Zakat & Ushr Wing Updated Recruitment & Promotion Rules 2026

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (2) of Rule 3 of the Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1974, and in partial modification of earlier notifications dated 01-03-2003 and 07-12-2009, the Government of Sindh has revised the method of appointment, qualifications, experience, and other eligibility conditions for specific posts in the Zakat & Ushr Wing of the Auqaf, Religious Affairs, Zakat & Ushr Department.

These amendments have been issued in consultation with the Regulation Wing of the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department to ensure transparency, merit-based recruitment, and standardized eligibility criteria.

📋 Revised Recruitment & Promotion Criteria (2025)

1️⃣ Superintendent (BPS-17)

Method of Appointment:

  • By Promotion Only
  • Promotion from among Assistants (BPS-16)
  • Minimum five (05) years of service as Assistant
  • Selection based on seniority-cum-fitness

Qualification:

As prescribed under departmental rules for Assistant (BPS-16)

Age Limit:

Not applicable (promotion-based post)

2️⃣ Senior Data Processing Officer (BPS-17)

Method of Appointment:

  • 90% through Initial Appointment via Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC)
  • Remaining quota as per departmental policy (if applicable)

Required Qualification:

  • MCS
  • MS (IT)
  • BE (Computer Systems / Computer Science)
  • BS (Computer Science)

Must be at least Second Division or equivalent CGPA from an HEC-recognized university.

Age Limit:

21 to 28 Years

3️⃣ Senior Computer Operator (BPS-16)

Method of Appointment:

  • 50% by Initial Appointment through SPSC
  • 50% by Promotion from Computer Operators (BPS-14)
    • Minimum five (05) years of service
    • Selection on seniority-cum-fitness basis

Required Qualification (for Direct Appointment):

  • BS (Computer Science)
  • BIT
  • BE (Computer Systems)

Minimum Second Division or equivalent CGPA from an HEC-recognized institution.

Age Limit (for Direct Appointment):

21 to 28 Years
