This initiative, led by the Health Department, aims to establish and strengthen 24/7 trauma and emergency medical services across the region. Available Positions
Here’s a breakdown of the positions open for application within MERC Balochistan’s trauma and emergency response teams:
1. Medical Officer (BPS-17)
- Vacancies: 39 openings at various MER Centers and Trauma Centers in Khuzdar and Zhob.
- Qualifications: MBBS or an equivalent medical degree recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), with at least one year of relevant experience.
- Role Summary: Medical Officers will provide direct emergency care, manage trauma cases, and offer support in complex medical emergencies, ensuring patients receive high-quality, timely care.
2. Lab Technologist (BPS-17)
- Vacancies: 2 positions at Trauma Centers located in Khuzdar and Zhob.
- Qualifications: A four-year degree in Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution, plus 3–4 years of relevant experience. Candidates skilled in operating lab machinery are preferred.
- Role Summary: Lab Technologists will conduct diagnostic tests and ensure the lab operates efficiently, supporting accurate and timely diagnosis in critical situations.
3. Staff Nurse (BPS-16)
- Vacancy: 1 position at the Trauma Center in Zhob.
- Qualifications: BS in Nursing (4 years) from a Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC)-accredited institution, with a minimum of four years of experience.
- Role Summary: Staff Nurses will be responsible for patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting in emergency procedures, playing a key role in stabilizing patients.
4. CT Scan Technician
- Vacancies: 2 positions at Trauma Centers in Khuzdar and Zhob.
- Qualifications: A diploma in Radiography or a Bachelor’s degree in Imaging Technology. Additionally, a CT-Scan/MRI Technician certificate and at least four years of relevant experience are required.
- Role Summary: Technicians will operate CT scan machinery, perform imaging procedures, and support diagnostic accuracy for trauma cases.
5. Medical Technician (BPS-9)
- Vacancies: 4 positions at Trauma Centers in Khuzdar and Zhob.
- Qualifications: Intermediate (pre-medical) with a Medical Technician certificate and four years of practical experience.
- Role Summary: Medical Technicians will assist in patient preparation, manage basic medical tasks, and support other medical staff in delivering rapid emergency care.
6. Operation Theater (OT) Assistant (BPS-6)
- Vacancies: 6 positions at Trauma Centers in Khuzdar and Zhob.
- Qualifications: Intermediate (pre-medical) and an OT Technician certificate, along with a minimum of two years of experience.
- Role Summary: OT Assistants will prepare surgical instruments, assist during procedures, and ensure the operation theater remains sterile and well-equipped for emergency surgeries.
