Project Overview NRSP

NRSP’s new project, running until May 31, 2025, aims to foster community engagement and strengthen the infrastructure of Katchi Abadis. These informal settlements or slums, also known as Katchi Abadis, house numerous low-income families with limited access to basic amenities. Through this project, NRSP aims to collaborate with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to improve the quality of life in these areas, promote community participation, and build the capacity of local residents to manage resources and solve community-level problems effectively.

Position Overview: Team Lead

As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for the overall project management and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to guide the project towards its objectives.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local CBOs to promote participation and mobilize resources for the project. Establish partnerships with community leaders, organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, manage resources, and ensure that project activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Metrics: Implement data-driven decision-making and use performance metrics to evaluate project outcomes. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills to monitor the success and impact of project interventions.
  • Reporting & Coordination: Provide timely reports and updates to NRSP’s senior management and funding agencies. Coordinate with local and regional authorities to ensure smooth execution of the project.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be eligible for the Team Lead position, candidates must have the following:

  • Educational Qualification: A Master’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the social sector, leading various projects, preferably in community development or related fields. The candidate should possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, with a proven track record of managing successful projects.
  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and people skills are essential. The ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment will be crucial for the role.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with Katchi Abadis or informal settlement management.
  • Experience in working with local government agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
  • Knowledge of community mobilization strategies and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
