WE ARE HIRING – COMPLAINTS SPECIALIST
Health and Safety Accord (Pvt.) Ltd., a subsidiary of International Accord B.V., Netherlands, is inviting applications from motivated and qualified professionals for the role of Complaints Specialist. This position is based in Karachi and Lahore and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute toward improving workplace health and safety standards in Pakistan’s textile and garment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Complaints Specialist, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and handling a dedicated portfolio of complaints, ensuring all cases are addressed efficiently and effectively.
- Conducting thorough investigations into allegations reported through complaints and preparing detailed, accurate investigation reports.
- Performing site visits to factories as necessary, documenting findings, and submitting reports to the leadership team.
- Drafting professional notifications in English to relevant parties during different stages of the complaint resolution process.
- Organizing and facilitating meetings with parties involved in complaints and preparing clear and precise meeting summaries.
- Drafting well-structured decisions and recommendations related to complaint outcomes.
- Maintaining up-to-date, reliable, and accurate qualitative and quantitative complaint-related data.
- Contributing to the creation of internal progress reports as well as public-facing reports related to complaint resolution and safety initiatives.
- Managing and maintaining complaint-related information systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Identifying and recommending continuous improvements to strengthen internal complaint handling processes and systems.
- Supporting the Pakistan Accord Training Team in delivering training sessions, when required, on safety, complaints handling, and related procedures.
- Collaborating closely with teams from Remediation, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth cross-functional coordination.
- Proactively alerting Pakistan Accord leadership to potential issues, challenges, or bottlenecks in the complaints process.
- Performing any other relevant duties assigned by the leadership team to support the goals of the Pakistan Accord.

Qualifications and Competencies:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Occupational Safety & Health, Environment, Law, Criminology, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in areas such as workplace safety and health, labour law, industrial relations, compensation, human rights, anti-harassment, or gender-based violence.
- Proven track record in handling grievances or disputes through judicial or non-judicial mechanisms.
- Practical experience in liaising with diverse stakeholders, including employers, employees, trade unions, and regulatory bodies.
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills, particularly in drafting reports and official communications.
- Familiarity with the textile and garment industry will be considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise information and provide well-reasoned solutions.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Proficiency in using data management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational, documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, ethical conduct, and a strong commitment to advancing workplace safety and labour rights.
