Job Overview

The selected candidate will play a vital role in:

1. Providing guidance on development projects, national policies, and strategic initiatives.
2. Supporting the government in preparing and reviewing annual development plans.
3. Assisting in the formulation of long-term economic strategies.
4. Ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation of public sector development programs.
5. Strengthening coordination between ministries, departments, and stakeholders.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Educational Background: Advanced degree (preferably PhD/Master’s) in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Finance, Management, or related disciplines.
2. Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of Pakistan’s economic challenges, development priorities, and governance structures. Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.
3. Age & Fitness: Candidates must meet the prescribed age and fitness requirements as per government policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide policy advice on economic growth, investment planning, and sectoral reforms.
• Contribute to the preparation of Vision 2035 and other long-term strategies.
• Review public sector projects and recommend measures for efficient utilization of resources.
• Develop proposals for sustainable development, regional integration, and poverty alleviation.
• Build capacity within the Commission through research, innovation, and international collaboration.
