Life History
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, was a visionary leader, an outstanding lawyer, and a determined political strategist. He was born on 25th December 1876 in Karachi, which was then part of British India. His early education began at Sindh Madressatul Islam and later at the Mission School.
Returning to India, Jinnah began his legal career in Bombay. His sharp intellect and persuasive arguments soon made him one of the top lawyers of the time. However, he was not content with personal success alone. Inspired by democratic ideals and equality, Jinnah entered politics, joining the Indian National Congress in 1906.Initially, Jinnah worked for Hindu-Muslim unity and was known as the “Ambassador of Hindu-Muslim Unity”. But with time, he realized that Muslims were not being given fair representation. Disillusioned, he left Congress and joined the All-India Muslim League in 1913.

Jinnah’s leadership transformed the Muslim League into a powerful political force. He advocated for the rights of Muslims and demanded a separate homeland where they could live according to their cultural and religious values. This vision led to the famous Lahore Resolution of 1940, calling for a separate nation, later known as Pakistan.
Through tireless efforts, persuasive speeches, and diplomatic skills, Jinnah led the Muslim struggle for independence. Despite facing immense opposition and health challenges, he remained committed. On 14th August 1947, Pakistan emerged as an independent state, and Jinnah became its first Governor-General.
His speeches emphasized equality, religious freedom, and justice. He envisioned Pakistan as a democratic, inclusive, and progressive nation. Sadly, his health deteriorated rapidly, and he passed away on 11th September 1948, just a year after independence.
Jinnah’s legacy lives on in the foundation and ideals of Pakistan. Known as “Quaid-e-Azam” (Great Leader), his courage, determination, and leadership continue to inspire generations. His life teaches us the power of vision, unity, and steadfastness in the face of adversity.
